I learned from the experience of planning, organizing and implementing many wonderful Catholic events that “God is in the details.” It is God’s desire is to be present in the many details that go into each event because EVERY DETAIL MATTERS TO HIM especially if done out of love for Him - as a means of showing our love for him. The more love active and present in the implementation of the “details”, the more fruitful the event, not only for the guests but also and especially for the person loving God in the implementation of the details.

A Catholic event, if done well, is full of intricate details and each one can be compared to a crossroads of sorts. One road leads closer to God and one leads away from Him. We will not be heading in the right direction if we allow those details to be done carelessly or as an opportunity to be unkind to another person or if the problems we encounter are met with grumbling and complaining. This is where we get the expression “the devil is in the details.”
