Hudson Byblow

Sexuality, Gender, & Elevating the Conversation

This presentation will reveal tools and angles of approach that may be helpful in responding to Catholics and non-Catholics alike who participate in the advancement of LGBTQ+ ideology in our world and in our churches. Couched within the personal narrative of what I learned along the way en route to walking away from LGBTQ+, it is my hope that what I share may embolden you with compassion, love, and truth, and edify you in your desire to promote the beauty and truth of the Catholic Church.

Bio: Hudson Byblow speaks in the USA and Canada about human sexuality, in accordance with Pope JPII’s Theology of the Body, in a way that is engaging, unifying, and personalized. He has consulted for Catholic Answers, LifeTeen, and Courage International, and his articles have appeared on Chastity Project, National Catholic Register, Ascension Press, One Peter Five, CRISIS Magazine, and Catholic World Report, among many other notable websites. Matt Fradd

How to Win an Argument Without Losing a Soul: Defending the Faith

If we as Catholics are to heed the instruction of our first pope, which is to “always be ready to make a defense to anyone who calls you to account for the hope that is in you” (1 Pet. 3:15), we must have a basic understanding of argumentation. We must know what constitutes a strong argument and what constitutes a weak one. Furthermore, we must understand how to detect common fallacies. In this interactive and intellectually stimulating talk, Matt explains these things and lays out indispensable tips for conversing with non-Catholics.

Bio: Matt Fradd is a Catholic Australian author, podcaster, and university professor. He has written and contributed to numerous books including Does God Exist? A Socratic Dialogue on the Five Ways of Thomas Aquinas, Marian Consecration with Aquinas, and The Porn Myth. Matt earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in philosophy from Holy Apostles College & Seminary where he now teaches. He lives with his wife, Cameron, and their four children in Georgia.
